Motorsport manager mobile 2 setup3/14/2024 ![]() ![]() Gran Turismo 5 was a racing game and not a management game which gave us B-spec, you could let the AI drive your car and if you gave the AI an intentionally bad car setup it would slide around all over the place. If a car is setup loose it should translate to what you see on screen because your cars behavior is directly represented to how you set it up. We already know that, but it requires fundamental changes in this game, which is a risky endeavour but a worthwhile one. Most physics based racing games even the super realistic ones like Iracing that have complex tyre models don't use that much in terms of CPU power, it's just a whole bunch of algorithms that do the math, even less realistic racing games that follow Newtonian physics get it right. Football manager games are also more difficult for this because it's 11 players on each side that need to interact with each other in formation so real physics would not be the best system to use, but with driving, each car is its own entity which only interacts with other cars on collisions or multiple collisions. Football games are not as much effected by this since most modern Football games have decent motion capture of player movements which can hide the "on rail" dice flipping going on in the background. Nobody really likes the on-rails feel even if its a management game. I understand it's a big job but that is what brings in the big money or features that can excite existing players and new players. Or a great management game with weak/subpar match (or in this case race) engine So you always end up with either a great simulation game with a weak/subpar management mode. Look at EAs FIFA series if they could just slap a robust management mode on their engine they would and FM would basically cease to exist, but they cant its just not feasible in terms of development time, money etc To have any level of appreciable depth in the management side basically prohibits how much is feasible to do with the match/race simulation side. Having real physics and a real simulation would take so much work, I mean imagine other sports titles like Football manager with all their decades of experience and the money behind that franchise even they dont use a real match engine, its all on rails simulation. If it's just on rails management, bleh, not interested. Imagine this game with actual AI physics and the setups of your cars actually matter, collisions that are real and not scripted. With individual car part design, engine modes, extra tyre compounds, more downforce options, an expanded sponsorship system and more, Motorsport Manager Mobile 2 offers hour upon hour of deep, strategic and exciting gameplay.Originally posted by aK:I hope it's something similar to this, but with actual physics. Will your strategy win you the race, or could an ill-advised tyre change end in disaster? You might have the best car on the grid, but success is won and lost on race day.
